Quality For Health (QfH) is an innovative quality assurance system for the voluntary and community sector. Voluntary groups are able to measure the impact they are making on outcomes and through training have the opportunity to network and share ideas across the community.

The ability to produce evidence across a number of levels is a vital tool for voluntary groups in being able to deliver local health services for local people. The system was originally developed by Voluntary Action Calderdale and has been adopted by Wellbeing Erewash with 13 organisations going through the process.

One of the first groups to go through the programme was the British Red Cross independent living team. The team supports service users who have been diagnosed with dementia and their carers. The programme involves completion of workbooks, supported and validated by the identification of significant evidence, that demonstrate ability and compliance with the QfH standards.
