Brilliant Erewash is an ‘Art of Brilliance’ programme co-commissioned by public health and Wellbeing Erewash to work with all year seven pupils across our six secondary schools. The Art of Brilliance is a nationally-recognised programme supporting young people to develop resilience in themselves and others.

It aims to transform the way young people think about themselves by inspiring them to make the most of what they have been given. It shares simple principles that raise aspirations, self-esteem, confidence and resilience and promote good mental health.

It enables young people to share in the delivery of positive messages to others in their school, home and community. The programme supports young people to recognise the difference that their approach and attitude has on others within their school, home and community. Brilliant Erewash encourages young people to lead workshops for school staff, other young people and people within local communities to improve their positivity and energy levels.

Students and staff from Wilsthorpe Community School in Long Eaton have spoken about their views on the Brilliant Erewash programme in this video.
